As a wedding planner who specialises in luxury weddings and marquee celebrations, I’ve had the pleasure of working at some of the most beautiful spaces across the UK. But finding the right luxury wedding venue isn’t just about choosing somewhere beautiful; it’s about understanding how that space fits with your priorities, your guests, and the kind of experience you want to create.

Here are a few of my favourite UK wedding venues (most of which I’ve worked at personally), so you can get inspired if you’re still searching for the perfect place to say ‘I Do’.

Iscoyd Park, Cheshire

Iscoyd Park is a Georgian country house wedding venue right on the Cheshire, Shropshire and Welsh borders. It has such a welcoming energy as a family-run venue team and friendly staff.

Whenever I plan weddings here, I find the team to be incredibly collaborative. It feels luxurious without being intimidating, which is perfect for weekend weddings that blend celebration and comfort.

Need to know for Iscoyd Park

The flow of Iscoyd Park is ideal for use in multiple areas. I often recommend couples use the Drawing Room or garden for a more intimate ceremony before moving guests through to the marquee for dinner and dancing. It’s one of those venues that feels like an elevated country home you don’t want to leave.

Hawkstone Hall, Shropshire

If you’re after old school luxury with a real wow factor, Hawkstone Hall is it. I’ve planned large-scale weddings here, and the grandeur of the space never disappoints. That said, it still feels personal, especially when we use styling and floral arrangements to create more intimate spaces.

Planning tips for Hawkstone Hall

In my opinion, the chapel at Hawkstone Hall is one of the most beautiful ceremony spots in the UK. For couples who want the formality without the stiffness, I often tweak the layout to feel more guest-friendly and relaxed. It’s small changes like this that make a big impact in a grand, luxury wedding venue like this.

Palm House Sefton Park, Liverpool

Sefton Park Palm House is a Victorian glasshouse in the middle of the city, and it always feels like stepping into another world. I’ve planned weddings here multiple times and love how transformative the space is.

Expert tips for Palm House

Because it’s a glass structure, it can get quite warm in the summer. I always advise couples to plan slightly later ceremonies or to offer refreshing drinks or fans as guests arrive. It’s a small touch, but it keeps everyone comfortable. You also don’t need to over-style this luxury wedding venue, as the botanical greenery already here lends itself as statement decor without the need for a substantial floral budget. Add great lighting for atmosphere, and your wedding will be one to remember.

Kin House, Wiltshire

Kin House is a Georgian manor with a modern edge. It’s effortlessly cool, but still feels very warm and intimate. As it’s designed with weddings in mind, the spaces flow really well — from the Garden House for getting ready to Kilvert Hall for the reception.

Need to know at Kin House

One of the things couples love most about Kin House is the exclusivity. You’ve got beautiful spaces for getting ready, celebrating, and even hosting a post-wedding brunch by the outdoor pool, all in one place.

I often help couples use the Garden House as a calm, private space before the ceremony. We bring in personalised touches to transform the Kilvert Hall into a space that reflects their wedding style. And if you’re wanting a modern yet classic luxury wedding venue that still feels down to earth and personal, this one might be made for you.

Euridge Manor, Cotswolds

Euridge Manor is an exclusive-use dry hire venue, and one of the most romantic spaces you’ll visit in the UK, where you’ll think you’ve been transported to Italy or France! Think lakeside ceremonies, pergolas covered in seasonal flowers, and winding Cotswold stone staircases.

Wedding planning tips for Euridge

Euridge Manor is stunning, but it can also be a little logistically challenging if you’re not an experienced planner. Every supplier, marquee, caterer, and lighting supplier has to be carefully scheduled and be aware of the restrictions in place here. Planning weddings and events at Euridge Manor requires a detailed production plan so nothing is left to chance.

For couples who want full creative freedom and aren’t afraid of adding colour, outdoor receptions or adding a marquee set up, Euridge Manor is the luxury wedding venue for you.

Hedsor House, Buckinghamshire

Hedsor House is the epitome of classic luxury. From the driveway to the ballroom, everything is beautifully maintained and designed for impact. It’s one of those venues that works just as well for a 100-person sit-down dinner as it does for a 200-person marquee wedding. This Grade II Georgian country manor house just makes you want to have a garden party!

Wedding planning tips for Hedsor House

I always encourage couples to make their wedding at Hedsor House a full weekend event to truly take advantage of the spaces here.

Host a welcome dinner the night before, your wedding on the Saturday, and a relaxed brunch on Sunday. It extends the celebration and gives you more time to enjoy the house, the grounds, and truly get to spend quality time with your guests. As a wedding planner, it’s my job to tie the whole weekend together so that everything flows smoothly without you needing to coordinate a thing.

Have you been inspired?

From grand country houses and botanical glasshouses to marquee-ready private estates, every venue on this list offers a completely different experience, atmosphere and visual setting. But the right venue is never just about aesthetics. It’s about how the space supports the kind of wedding experience you want to create for yourselves and your guests.

My role as a wedding planner is to help you navigate those decisions with clarity, from understanding the practicalities of a venue to shaping a celebration that feels personal, seamless and entirely reflective of you.

If you’re currently searching for your wedding venue and want experienced guidance throughout the process, I’d love to hear more about your plans.
